Serving the Chinese space science missions, the platform will become an
interdisciplinary platform for space science missions and payload development,test and assurance with capacity to cover the lifecycle of space science missions from incubation, preliminary studies, technology know-how, engineering
development, to scientific output.
Upon completion, the platform will provide solid support to China’s Major Science and Technology Program, e.g. Strategic Priority Program of Space Science, Manned Space Flight Program, Lunar and Deep Space Exploration Program. It will also facilitate breakthrough making in major advanced technology in space science development, which is conducive to making original achievements in the frontiers of fundamental science, e.g. the evolution of the universe, the origin of life, and the composition of matter.
