Brief Introduction

      Beijing Advanced Sciences and Innovation Center (BASIC) is initiated by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Beijing local government.  BASIC has been authorized formally as one of the institutes with legal entity by China central government in 2012, and is planning to be allocated at Huairou District of Beijing.  

  As a host of several cutting-edge large-scale scientific facilities to be built and opened to all national and international users, such as Beijing Advanced Photo Source (BAPS), Synergetic Extreme Condition User Facility (SyECUF),  Earth System Numerical Simulator Equipment (ESNuSE) and Space Environment Simulation Facility (SpEnSF) and so on, BASIC will be offering a national top-level stage for academic researches, high-tech development, talent cultivation and ventures incubation, engaging actively in mutual cooperation with institutes, universities, enterprises and other kind of ventures, bringing considerably economic and social benefits to the area and national development, becoming a national world-class synergetic innovation center step-by-step in the next decade.  

  BASIC will also have social responsibility for popular science dissemination, especially for K-12 or young people, to arouse public interests in sciences and engineering, to enhance young kids to be more imaginative and innovative.  

  So far, BASIC has more than 50 employees in the following divisions: General Office, Finance Office, Human Resources Office, Planning Division, Engineering Management Division, Coordination Division and Investment Division.
