The Vice Mayor of Beijing visited Germany

In November 2019, the Vice Mayor of Beijing, Sui Zhenjiang, visited Germany and met with Professor Jan Lüning, Managing Director of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie in Berlin, Germany. During the meeting, Mr. Sui presented Beijing’s core competitiveness in innovation, and discussed opportunities for close collaboration in the construction and management science and technology industrial parks in China and Germany, the attraction of high-tech companies to the park, and the development of Huairou science city. Professor Lüning said that as the chairman-elect of the Global Cooperation Alliance of Science Centers established this October in Huairou, he would actively promote the collaboration between the Helmholtz-Zentrum center and Huairou Science City in operating large scientific facilities, and share the management and operation experience of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Center.
